Summer vacation just started. I planned to sleep in and play video games, but Mom told me to go outside. She always says I need more sunlight and exercise. So, I went to my best friend Eddie's house. I wanted to play video games there, but Eddie had another idea.
暑假才刚开始，我都计划好睡晚晚然后打电动，但老妈叫我出去动一动，她总说我要多晒点太阳还有运动；所以啦，我去麻吉艾迪的家。本来我想在那打电动，可是艾迪有别的点子：
He found us summer jobs. Eddie's neighbors offered to pay him for cleaning their swimming pools. Eddie asked me to be his business partner. Of course I said yes. I'm going to be rich by the end of the summer.
他帮我们两个找到了暑假打工。艾迪的邻居们提供了一个清理各家游泳池的有薪工作，而艾迪要我当他的生意伙伴。我当然说好啰，这个夏天结束前我就要「脱贫」啦！
