Cell Phones: A Helpful Convenience or a Hazard to Health? 玩「命」手机?

There are an estimated 1.3 billion cell phone users in the world, and cell phones are now an accepted part of daily life. ___1___, this convenient little invention might be killing us.

Other studies___5___cell phone use to headaches, dizziness, and possible DNA damage. Some British scientists want cell phones to carry health warnings similar to those on cigarette packages. Dr. Ross Adey of the University of California at Riverside is even urging parents to never let their children use cell phones___6___any circumstances.

Moreover, many of these scientists claim that cell phone companies are trying to suppress studies that show cell phones to be unhealthy. One company wouldn’t ___7___ accept the results of a study that show cell phones had positive effects on health. It didn’t want to ___8___ that cell phones could influence the body in any way.
