It stands out, plastered on billboards, posters, and painted on the sides of towering buildings. It has cropped up in innumerable television programs, Hollywood blockbusters, and music videos. Will Smith even called it the “gadget of the century.” It’s the iPod, and it has spearheaded a revolution in the world of music.

In any bustling city or lively college town, iPod fans bob their heads to the beat of their favorite songs. Many consider their sleek device to be more than just an MP3 player. They regard it as a pet or even a best friend.

The iPod’s three million-plus owners gossip and obsess over its slick designs and user-friendly functions. Although sometimes as small as a credit card, iPods can carry as many as 10,000 songs. Like a modern-day briefcase, they are also capable of storing documents, books, and many other files.

The iTunes store is molding how buyers interact with the media. No longer are you obliged to purchase entire albums. Just download the songs you want. In addition, a new method of broadcasting called podcasting allows iPod owners to download radio and television programs. If you haven’t done so yet, you should definitely try one out!
