As an unpublished author, it’s no easy feat getting your work read by the public – at least that used to be the case. That’s the route two very successful Taiwanese authors took a decade ago, since then, they’ve blossomed into full-___3___ celebrities of Taiwanese Internet literature.

Using the pen names “Rascal Tsai” and “Nine Blades,” the two young authors began ___4___ their works on the Internet while they were graduate students. Back then, there were no blogs, so the universities’ Bulletin Board Systems (BBSes) were the ___5___ platforms for works. Captivated readers swarmed to the boards to give feedback and support. Soon, publishing companies started calling, and they were quickly ___6___ to the top of Taiwan’s best-seller list.

笔名「痞子蔡」以及「九把刀」的两位年轻作家在还是研究生的时候，便将作品放在网络上。当时部落格尚未问世，所以大学的BBS站便是他们作品的唯一舞台。喜欢他们作品的读者涌向BBS给予他们回馈及鼓励。不久后，出版商主动打电话连络他们，他们的作品一下就冲上台湾畅销书排行榜冠军。
