Are you looking to gain life experience by working and traveling at the same time? A working holiday may be just the ticket! When someone goes on this kind of holiday, it means they experience another culture by working within it.

The idea behind working holidays is for young people to enhance their international understanding. Therefore, most countries only grant working holiday visa to those between the age of 18 and 30, and for periods of three months a year.

The majority of jobs are found in restaurants, hotels, and other businesses related to the tourism industry. Fruit-picking on farms is another popular option in Australia and New Zealand. However, if you have professional experience, you might be able to get an office job by applying through an employment agency.

Most importantly, keep an open mind. Working in a country is different from simply visiting one, and you’ll encounter plenty of challenges along the way. But you’ll gain useful experience and make friends with locals and other travelers, so don’t hesitate to take the plunge!
