The next few days, Mom woke me up every morning at 7:30. She helped me with my homework until dinner. We only took a break for lunch. We finally finished the night before school started. Mom said, "David, I can't always help you with homework. How will you survive in college?" I looked down, "You're right, Mom. I won't play until I finish my work first."
接下来的几天，老妈每天早上七点半就叫我起床，到晚餐前她都帮我一起写作业，我们只有午餐时间休息。在开学的前一晚，我们终于写完了。老妈说：「戴维，我不能总是帮你弄作业，这样你上了大学要怎么撑过去？」我低头说：「妈，妳说得对，我以后会先把功课做完再玩。」
Mom sighed and patted my shoulder, "Good night, honey. I need to prepare your lunch for tomorrow." She looked so tired. I promised myself to be more responsible.
