The next morning, the family went to the woods to work. While they were walking, Hansel laid down several white rocks. After their parents left, the kids followed the rocks home. Their stepmother was very angry. That night she ordered her husband, "Take them farther away, so they can't come back!"
第二天一早，全家人走进树林去砍柴。在他们行走时，汉赛尔偷偷地放置许多白色石头。等他们的父母离开后，孩子们就沿着石头走回家。他们的继母十分地生气，当晚她命令她的丈夫：「把他们带去更远的地方带去更远的地方，这样他们就回不来了！」
The next morning, the family went to the woods again. This time, Hansel left bread crumbs along the way. But birds ate all of the crumbs! Hansel and Gretel were lost. They walked until they saw an old woman at a gingerbread house.
