On thanksgiving morning, Mom and I went to the supermarket to buy food for dinner. Jonny was there. He was buying instant noodles. Mom asked, "David, isn't that your classmate? Hello!" Jonny looked embarrassed. "I heard your family is having a fancy Thanksgiving dinner tonight!" Jonny answered, "My parents have to work, so we can't celebrate after all."
在感恩节当天早上，老妈和我去超级市场采买晚餐的食材。钱宁也在那里，他正在买泡面。老妈问：「戴维，那不是你的同学吗？哈啰！」钱宁满脸尴尬，「我听说你们家今晚会有一顿精致的感恩节大餐呀！」钱宁回答：「我爸妈要工作，所以我们不会庆祝了。」
My parents don't cook fancy dinner or drive cool cars, but they always spend time with us. I am thankful for them. I told Jonny, "Have dinner with us!" Jonny smiled, "Thanks, David."
