Daedalus begged King Minos to let them go. "I won't tell anyone about the maze." he promised. But King Minos didn't care. Every day, Daedalus and Icarus looked out of the window at the ocean. They dreamed of escaping.
代达勒斯恳求麦诺斯国王释放他们，他保证：「我不会告诉任何人关于迷宫的事。」然而麦诺斯国王无动于衷。代达勒斯和伊卡洛斯每天望着窗外的海洋，他们希盼能逃脱。
One day, Daedalus had a great idea: they would escape by flying away! Daedalus and Icarus began gathering feathers from birds. Daedalus glued them together with wax and made wings. When Daedalus finished making the wings, he said to Icarus, "Son, get ready. We're going to fly out of this tower!"
