I thought Charlie was going to cry. One of the Bulldogs said, "Throw it back!" I didn't know what to do. I felt bad for Charlie. But if I didn't listen to the Bulldogs, they would bully me. Dennis shouted, "You can be cool and play with us, or you can be a loser."

I thought for a second and then gave Charlie his cap back. Nobody on the bus believed it! I made the Bulldogs angry. But I know everyone would talk about me for years and say, "David is a hero. He stood up to the Bulldogs!"
