Long time no “sea”! Disney brings back one of its classic animated tales, Finding Nemo, in breathtaking 3D. the film won the 2004 Oscar for Best Animated Feature. Now, a whole new audience, as well as old fans, will get a chance to enjoy this heartwarming story with added visual effects from Pixar.

Finding Nemo follows the title character, a clownfish, who wants to show his independence and explore the large ocean world on his own. Despite the warning of danger from his father, Marlin, Nemo swims away and is caught by a scuba diver. He is kept in a fish tank, where he sees no hope in life. While Marlin is trying every possible way to find his son, Nemo also plans his escape from the tank.

Fortunately, Marlin bumps into a blue tang fish named Dory, and they form an effective partnership to try to rescue Nemo any way they can. Though they encounter many problems in the ocean, they keep on going. By persevering, they finally make it to Nemo and free him again.

It’s not hard to figure out why Finding Nemo is so successful and highly praised. Aside from the unforgettable characters and hilarious storyline, the movie illustrates valuable lessons for both children and adults. For instance, kids can learn the dangers of wandering away from their parents, as Nemo finds trouble when he ignores his father and swims alone. Parents can learn not to be overprotective, as Marlin realizes giving Nemo some freedom helped their relationship. Finally, there is a theme for all ages－friendship. Without Dory’s help, Nemo and Marlin couldn’t make it. Their teamwork shows us how cooperation is vital to success and achievement.

Finding Nemo 3D is not the first classic animation re-released in 3D, but it might be the most spectacular. The ocean, which is all about depth and space, is a perfect fit for 3D technology. Audiences will wonder at the scenes capturing the ocean’s overwhelming size and power. So “sea” it like never before in 3D now!
