Lucy meets Elisa in the hallway at school. Elisa is smiling. 露西在学校走廊遇到艾莉莎。艾莉莎正在微笑。

Lucy: Hi, Elisa. What are you so happy about? 嗨，艾莉莎。妳为什么这么高兴？

Elisa: My parents promised they would get me a pet if I aced my exam, and I got an “A”. 我父母答应我，如果我的考试成绩很好就给我一只宠物。而我的成绩拿到A。

Elisa: I’m more of a dog person. But I still can’t decide what breed to get. 我比较喜欢狗。但我还无法决定要选哪一种品种。

Elisa: I was considering a German Shepherd. They make great guard dogs. 我在考虑要一只德国牧羊犬。牠们是很好的护卫犬。

Lucy: Hmm…your apartment isn’t very big, so maybe you should get a smaller dog. 嗯…妳家公寓没有很宽敞，所以也许妳该买一只比较小的狗。

Elisa: That’s a good point. Perhaps I will get a Pomeranian. 那是个好主意。也许我会养博美狗。

Lucy: That’s a perfect choice. They’re tiny, smart, and cute. 那是个完美的选择。博美狗很小、很聪明而且又可爱。

Elisa: Class is about to start in a few minutes. Maybe we can drop by a pet shop on the way home and choose the cutest Pomeranian. 再几分钟就要上课了。也许我们可以在回家的路上顺便去宠物店挑一只最可爱的博美狗。

Lucy: Sure thing. See you then! 没问题。到时候见！
