Lizzy: Hi there. Is there anything I can help you with?
Natalia: Yes, I’m thinking about buying a new coat. Autumn is coming, and I think I need something to keep me warm.
Lizzy: Well, we’ve got lots of coats here in our seasonal section.
Natalia: There are so many here. Can you give me some advice on which to choose?
Lizzy: Certainly. This on lined with fur is very fashionable right now.
Natalia: It looks good, but is it practical? I travel a lot for work, so I’ll be wearing it all the time.
Lizzy: Then you ought to take a look at this black one and that blue one. They are popular with businesswomen. The material is very warm, and it’s also quite strong. These coats won’t get damaged easily, even if you wear them daily.
Natalia: Hmm… They both look really great. I’m not sure which one to choose. What would you do if you were in my shoes?
Lizzy: Let me see you try them on. OK, the black one looks elegant on you. It will be perfect if you take your clients out to dinner in the evening.
Natalia: Let me try on the blue one. What do you think?
Lizzy: You look very professional in that one.
Natalia: Professional? That’s exactly the look I want. I think I’ll take this one. Thank you very much for your advice.

The Customer Always Comes First 以客为尊、服务至上
Being a salesperson isn’t always easy. You may have a great product, but even then customers might not line up to buy it. You often have to convince them. Here are some things you should always bear in mind.
Sales is all about the customers, so tell them what benefits the product has, not how excellent the quality is. Sure, your product is great, but what’s it going to do for people? How will it improve their lives? How can you help them get what they want? To be successful, you’ll have to listen to your customers and find out what they need. This also creates a good impression on potential buyers, as it shows that you care about them.
Additionally, understanding your customers allows you to adjust your sales pitch. Not everybody has the same demand, so the way you should market you product depends on your target audience. Customers are people, not just numbers for your sales figures, so make sure to consider their feelings at all times.
