Every spring in Taiwan, residents and visitors have the opportunity to behold the charming calla lilies on Yangmingshan. The cool, humid climate of the mountain is an ideal environment for these stunning white flowers to grow. The Bamboo Lake (竹子湖) area is so productive that it supplies 80 percent of Taiwan’s total calla lily crop.
每年的春天，台湾的居民及游客都有机会亲眼一睹阳明山上迷人的海芋风光。该地凉爽、潮湿的气候对于这些美得令人惊艳的白花来说，正是理想的生长环境。而竹子湖地区的海芋产量也十分丰饶，它总共供应了全台80%的海芋量。
Its large trumpet-shaped blossom and its thick green stem make the calla lily a gorgeous flower. As a symbol of love and beauty, it’s an obvious choice for wedding ceremonies and floral bouquets. Although it is originally from South Africa, the white variety on Yangmingshan was actually imported from Japan.

More than forty flower farms welcome people to come and pick a handful of the flowers at a discount.
