Mark and Susan are talking about their daughter’s first day of school:
M: I’m a little worried about how Jenny’s going to cope next week.
S: Well, you shouldn’t be. She already has a little confidant in her new class and she knows how to introduce herself. She’ll be fine.
M: You’re probably right. But isn’t there anything we can do to make things a little easier for her?
S: Sure, I was thinking that we should take her to have a look at the school this weekend.
M: Do you think that will help? It will be deserted.
S: That’s okay. At least it will give her a chance to get used to her new environment. We can also use the opportunity to show her the bus.
M: That’s true. We should probably also talk to her about going to bed earlier from now on and packing her bag the night before her big day.
S: Now you’re getting the hang of it. She won’t like that very much, but it’s the only way to make sure that she won’t have trouble adapting to a new schedule come school time.
M: Poor little thing. We need to do something really fun to make up for all this. How about a trip to the hot spring in Wulai?
S: Great idea. Hopefully that’s help you both to relax.
