S: I can’t wait to get married in a drive-thru Elvis church. This’ll be the coolest wedding since Madonna married Guy Ritchie.

N: The pink convertible Cadillac will pick us up in an hour. You know, it would’ve been easier for us to get our marriage registered with Taiwan if we had gotten married in Taiwan.
粉红色的凯迪拉克敞篷车会在一小时内来接我们。妳晓得，其实如果我们在台湾结婚，我们办理结婚登记会比较方便。
S: Maybe, but it’s hardly as hip as here in beautiful Nevada. Whether we get married in Taiwan or abroad, we still have to file an application in our local Civil Administration Office.
或许吧，不过台湾结婚不能像在这儿美丽的内华达一样这么酷。反正无论在台湾或国外结婚，都一样要到当地的户政事务所登记。
N: Taiwanese authorities will also want our household registration, my ROC identification and chop, and our original marriage license …. and verification that you were unmarried.

S: Plus, we’ll have to get our Nevada marriage license translated, and request in person at an ROC trade office that our marriage registration application be forwarded to the appropriate Civil Administration Office in Taiwan.
还有呢，我们必须把内华达的结婚证书翻译妥当，亲自把结婚登记申请书送到一处台湾商务办事处去，请他们把我们的申请书送回台湾的主管当局。
N: Well, we’ll get our marriage license translated and notarized at the ROC trade office in L.A. on the way back to Taipei. By the way, I’ll wear the sequined tuxedo, but not the Elvis wig.
没关系，我们可以在回台北途中，把内华达的结婚证书在中华民国驻洛杉矶商务办事处翻译好并公证完毕。顺便一句，我要穿钉有亮片的小礼服，但是不戴猫王假发。
S: No problem! Our minister’s an Elvis impersonator!

N: Viva Las Vegas, baby!
