Contrary to popular belief, “Air Force One” is not the name of the familiar blue and white Boeing 747-200B aircraft used to transport the American president. Instead, it’s the radio call name used to identify any U.S. Air Force plane carrying the president.
异于一般人的看法，「空军一号」这名字其实不是一般人所熟悉、用来做为美国总统座机的蓝白相间波音747-200B飞机，而是无线电通讯中所用的名称，用以确认搭载美国总统的任何一架美国空军飞机。
There are actually two, nearly identical “Air Force One” planes. While both resemble commercial jetliners, they’re far from ordinary. Sometimes referred to as flying “Oval Offices,” they accommodate every presidential need. The communication system features twice the wiring of a regular 747, allowing worldwide transmission and reception, as well as multi-frequency radios capable of satellite communications. The wiring is sufficiently shielded to withstand electromagnetic pulse attacks. The air force has stated that the planes are definitely military aircraft, though most details of their unique modifications are, of course, classified.

With over 1220 square meters of floor space, “Air Force One” also has a unique interior. Presidential quarters include a bedroom, bathroom and exercise facilities. The conference room doubles as a dining room, and another office can be converted into a medical facility where the onboard doctor can handle any emergency.

Completely self-contained with retractable stairways, automated baggage-loaders, and in-flight refueling connections, “Air Force One” aircraft are technological wonders, and planes like no other.
