If you’re planning a getaway and only decadence will do, you might consider checking in to Singapore’s grandest resort, Marina Bay Sands. The US$5.5 billion complex radiates extravagance and oozes luxury. Without a doubt, a stay here would be unforgettable.

Marina Bay Sands, designed by Moshe Safdie, is one of the most complicated pieces of architecture in the world and must be seen to be believed. Three 55-story towers glisten under the Singapore sun, and together they support the Sands SkyPark, which sits upon the towers like a tabletop on the skyline. Rising separately from the 23rd floor of the building, the trio of sloping towers – the steepest slope is 26 degrees – holds the park 200 meters high. Inside, 2,561 splendid rooms are found alongside 1.3 million square feet of convention center and expo space. With a casino, nightclubs, and six world-class restaurants to boot, business and pleasure become a five-star experience.

The crowning glory is the Sands SkyPark, floating far above the ground. Amidst the landscaped gardens, which contain hundreds of species of plants and trees, you can take in magnificent panoramic views of Singapore. And you won’t be able to resist a dip in the 150-meter infinity swimming pool, where the water seems to fall into the cloudless sky.
