Rethinking Vitamin Supplements 维他命补充剂停看听
Antioxidant supplements may not have the effect they are supposed to have. It was once believed that antioxidant supplements such as vitamin A, vitamin C and vitamin E could remove substances that harm the body and cause diseases such as cancer and heart disease. However, after reviewing 67 different studies, scientists at Copenhagen University found no evidence that antioxidant supplements improve your health. In fact, supplements may even cause an overdose, harming your health instead of helping. When antioxidants are part of a balanced diet, they help maintain overall health, but they are not magical cure-alls.

Rising Sea Levels: A New Warning 新警告：海平面将大幅上升
A new scientific analysis presented in Vienna predicts that sea levels could rise by up to 1.5 meters by the end of this century. This figure is substantially higher than any previous predictions made by scientists. The new analysis was done with a computer model that showed the relationship between temperatures and sea levels. The sea levels varied by about 20 cm over the past 2,000 years, showing that they have been quite stable. However, according to the model, they will rise somewhere between 0.8 and 1.5 meters by 2100.
