For exporters, getting your product to market is often just as important as the product itself. Considering that payment is only made with a timely delivery of undamaged goods, exporters should pay attention to the fundamental aspects of shipping: packing, labeling, and documentation. Failure to dot your i’s and cross your t’s in these finicky arrangements may cause delays, damage, or even total loss of sale.

对出口业者而言，如何把货品安全送达市场常常和货物本身一样重要。鉴于客户一定是已经及时收到安全无损的货物后才会付款，所以出口业者一定要注意货物交运的一些基本细节：包装、标签、和准备文件。没安排妥当这些必须讲究的细节，结果就是迟交、受损、或甚至于整笔交易一笔勾销。

Overseas cargo should be packaged carefully to prevent damage from moisture and rough handling. Shipping a product disassembled can further prevent damage. All packages must be labeled properly to clear customs. Customs officials will look for such labels as country of origin port of entry, and package weight. However, exporters should avoid including brand names or exact contents on packing materials in order to discourage theft.

运交国外的货物应该仔细包装，以避免因潮湿和不当处理而造成的损伤。产品拆卸后交运更能进一步避免受损。所有货品的装箱，必须适当地标示，以顺利通关。海关人员会检查有关的卷标项目，譬如出口国、进口港、重量等。不过出口商应该避免把品牌名称或货品内容详载在货品数据上，以避免引起盗心。

Shipping involves extensive paperwork. Many exporters employ freight forwarders to guide them through the endless variety of foreign government rules and regulations. Freight forwarders prepare all necessary documentation including the bill of lading, which transfers the title of goods to the customer. A good freight forwarder can improve your delivery time and even help with customer service. Their services are considered indispensable by most exporters because delivering products on time is essential to successful exporting.

船运的文书作业很繁复。很多出口商交付给货物运输业者替他们打通关，办理外国政府各式各样法规所要求的一切手续。货物运输业者会准备所有的必备文件，包括把货物所有权转到客户名下的提单。一家好的货物运输业者能使你交货迅速，并且有助于客户服务。大多数出口商都认为货物运输业者所提供的服务不可或缺，因为货物准时到达是出口业务能否成功的重要一环。
